Lucas Richie

Lucas is an Analyst supporting SeaChange’s collaboration-related grantmaking activities. Prior to joining SeaChange, he spent six years working in the philanthropic sector with Bread & Roses Community Fund, Philadelphia Yearly Meeting, and Progressive Multiplier. Across these roles, he helped design and implement community-led grantmaking processes and build partnerships with the City of Philadelphia and other regional funders. He also co-founded Philadelphia’s first worker-owned landscaping business, Parula Gardens Cooperative, and worked as a researcher with the Urban Natures Lab at the University of British Columbia. He has lived in the Philadelphia area since 2014 and is active in Philadelphia’s Masculinity Action Project, Central Philadelphia Friends Meeting, and on the board of Expand Democracy. He holds a BA in History from Haverford College.
