Project Highlights | Bushwick Starr & GJDC
It was great to see two exciting projects supported by SeaChange and its affiliated loan funds mentioned in the news this month:
1. The Bushwick Starr ("Starr") | The Starr has acquired a new permanent home for its theater and community arts program, which is expected to open in fall 2022. This New York Times story offers an overview of the new building in Bushwick, the Starr's three-year, $10 million capital campaign, and the upcoming season of shows for 2021-2022.
2. The Greater Jamaica Development Corporation ("GJDC") | GJDC has closed on financing for the construction of southeast Queen’s first co-working space and business training center at The Moda building. Once complete, the co-working space is estimated to support over 126 permanent and part-time jobs and 33 construction jobs. See this QNS article for more details.
